System Leadership Primer for Governors and Boards of Health and Social Care

The Top Leaders Across Health and Social Care Primer for Governors is a half-day or one-day program designed to support health and social care board governors in enabling system-wide change. This program provides foundational knowledge and strategic insights into integrated care, population health, and governance transformation, helping governors shape policies and align organizational strategies for greater impact.

Governors play a critical role in steering system transformation by setting priorities, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment across multiple organizations. Their fiduciary responsibilities include setting the strategy for their organizations and defining the performance expectations of their CEO or Executive Director. As such, it is critical for Boards to be highly engaged so they can enact their fiduciary responsibilities and shepherd a vastly improved health and well-being system. This primer equips them with a common language, key system insights, and governance strategies to support sustainable change.
